We used the Mychron 3 Data Acquisition unit on the E46 M3 race car we built for Hans
Kopecky. The highlights of the car can be seen at E46 M3 race car. The Mychron
3 is a digital
dash with graphic
RPM indicator,
gear lights,
configurable
alarm lights
and gear indicator.
Usable to display
lap time, lap
number, RPM and
speed, temperature
or pressure inputs.
It includes a
true Data Logger,
that acquires
all the connected
signals 10 times
per second. Through
the software,
Race Studio 2
(included), you
may analyze your
data in a highly
professional
way.
Available
in two different
versions:
MYCHRON
3 PLUS AUTO,
with 512 kbyte
of non volatile
Memory.
MYCHRON
3 GOLD AUTO,
with 8 megabyte
of non volatile
memory and a
lateral G sensor,
that allows you
to create the
map of the track
directly on your
PC.
Both
are available
for steering
wheel mountage,
with JUNCTION
BOX, and metallic
independent connectors,
or in a single
box, with only
one 26 pins Military
MS connector.
MyChron 3 PLUS/GOLD
has a fully configurable
sequential shift-light,
warning lamps
(for High/Low
temperature/pressure
alarm) and small
integrated LED
gear number display.
The dashboard
is able to show
the engaged gear
either sampled
from an "on-board"
gear sensor or
calculated from
RPM vs. speed
ratio.
Shift
